Green Cheek Conure – Biting Training

Green Cheek Conure – Biting Training

I make videos that I would want to watch.

This video is about my green cheek conure, Mochi, and his/her old biting habit. I have since trained him out of it. More or less, he has come to trust me more and does not feel the need to bite me anymore.

P.S. he/she is a cinnamon turquoise color morph.

Please don’t leave nasty or condescending comments.

update 4.8.16: Mochi is definitely male (he has tried to hump our cat’s tail… definitely humping). also he never bites me but sometimes will go after strangers. If I allow new faces to give him a sunflower seed upon meeting, he is immediately trusting. He is very socialized and can handle meeting and being held by new people. I would recommend introducing your GCC to new faces as it reinforces proper social behavior and good birdy manners.

Sun Conure sings Bad to the Bone

Sun Conure sings Bad to the Bone

This is Shiloh a Sun Conure jammin in the car to Bad to the Bone. The clicking noise is how conures sing. They cannot vocalize the way a full size parrot would. Most Sun Conures don’t “talk” or “sing” at all, but they do A LOT of screaming. It’s rare this type of bird will vocalize beyond it’s normal bird sounds. It takes a lot of interaction for this level of communication!!
