We have finally had another “Get Flocked” parrot day, thats the name of our free flight group, unfortunately not everyone could make it but we will try hard to have another big get together soon! For those who don’t know where I live has incredibly slow internet so as a result all vids are reduced to 3-4mins, this still takes a couple of hours to upload (sometimes 4) so anything longer is painful, thank you Australian gov for your sham internet!. I will try and do x3 per day to get them up!
Please know that our birds are specifically free flight trained, please remember you cannot compare a pet indoor bird to that of a free flight trained bird. That would be like comparing two individuals who look the same yet one knows how to swim and the other does not, brain development is key and this allows the individual bird to deal with danger effectively. So using the example above the individual/bird with the correct brain development is safe and confident in the water/outdoors with very minimal risk, while the other has high risk of loss. www.adventuresofroku.com/Educational.php for more detailed explanations.
We have not flown at this lake for quite some time so it was brilliant to get out! the birds love it as they can play in the tree above our tables and throw sticks and poop at us, or just fly over the lake and play in the other trees haha
Kevin and Pabu are no longer friends for the time being, I’ve explained this to Pabu but he still continues to try win him over, always leading to disappointment.
It was Korra’s turn to come out, the only reason why Pabu came was because there was a lot of people to help keep him away from Korra (they fight over me) however she still got upset a couple times because he was all up in my face. Not to mention zero space in car haha
x3 of the birds are not free flight trained however have come out for stimulation, this is why they are not taken out. Taking them out would be extremely irresponsible leading to high risk of loss to raptors and or starvation. So please do not let ignorance dictate your negative comments, highly recommend reading info on website on the pinned post.
