Her spontaneous show of affection always thrilled my heart. I miss the way only cockatoos that care about you can show their feelings. Peaches, dearest, I miss you.
Peaches cockatoo had many “hellos” but never a goodbye. This rescue bird always wanted to be with people. She shines in my heart every day and no YouTube channel or YouTuber could resist her parrot charms face-to-face. When our avian vet told me that she had a virus I was devastated. Yet, I knew this little angel cockatoo wanted to live out her life. She had lived with pain her whole life because of her neck and back, but rose above that pain to love life. When the last day came I couldn’t stop crying. Now try and share her love all around me and through the internet.

A permanent bird sanctuary, we rescue but do not rehome birds. Each parrot or cockatoo that comes to our bird sanctuary has a home for life. By following our bird channel, you will learn about basic bird care and you will learn how to take care of a parrot. Bird care or parrot care is not like looking after a cat or dog, birds are not mammals and their needs are very different. Taking care of a bird can be a great joy in your life if you have the skills. The Chloe Sanctuary parrot channel will teach you about bird training and parrot training using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), reward training, positive reinforcement, and more. In our Cockatude Cockatoos with Attitude video series you will see our moluccan (seram), triton (sulfur-crested), and umbrella cockatoos. Each episode has a different topic. In some you will see a parrot playing and in some you will hear a cockatoo talking. In others we talk about avian vet care. A parrot talking is lots of fun but remember not all of them do it.
