  1. I love your videos and your parrot! Keep up the good work!! ❤❤

  2. Sweet Rusty is doing so well, what a smart and adorable good boy 🥰🤗👏
I love seeing him take to the toys so fast like "Wow this is fun!". I am curious, is an overgrown beak a hindrance to him at all and does it wear down to normal length with time? (I think it's cute and I didn't know it was overgrown).
And also, can learning to play with toys help birds to stop plucking?
Amazing work and lots of love Rusty! 🦜💕

  3. I recently got a female Eclectus, she was plucking her feathers with her last owners, due to her watching one of the family members have seizure convolutions in front of her. So far she hasn’t been plucking any feathers , I try my best to give her attention so she doesn’t pluck. I’ve also been using bird tricks aloe spray to help her itchy skin. She barley plays with her toys! This video will be very useful to train her whenever she’s alone or feels stressed. Thank you so much for this!

  4. Our plucked kids have no problem playing with toys. They are our biggest toy freaks, aside from one over-compensating 45 year old amazon. And they all take good care of their toys.

  5. Aww sweet Rusty. 🤗 In the beginning he almost seems self-conscious about his overgrown beak. Later he is like "oh, cool I can do this". And in the end he appears so much more confident. So wonderful and amazing to watch! 🥰🦜

  6. ❤️🦜. Aww Rusty—I have a soft spot in my heart for this little bird! He is so enthusiastic and inquisitive and seems to be eager to please. I am happy he is learning to play AND that he has such cool looking toys.! He is looking more floofy (yes, that is a made up word that is a term of endearment and describes him looking more feathery and adorable). Thank you for sharing these updates!! 🦜❤️

  7. Would you ever combine feathers (like from chickens) in a toy, or would that be bad for a parrot who self mutilates??

  8. I tried putting a hanging toy in my budgie cage and the three of them had a meltdown. They're not fond of toys, lol

  9. To everyone saying look at those new feathers! This can be misleading, novel things will often distract chronic plucker. Once the novelty wears off they go right back to plucking. I've had a chronic plucker for the last 2 years, he was a plucker when he came to me and had been for 4 years prior.

Thank you for the video Jamie toy training has been invaluable for my rescued lovebirds

  10. Just a question will a free flighted bird fly on command if so you don’t need a leash right? And is the the process of training a conquer to free flight the same as all birds. Ye it isn’t a good timing

  11. So happy to see rusty growing back his feathers ❤ u r definitely doing amazing work🎉🎉

  12. He learned to play with toys so fast. Great job! My birds loved your toys!

  13. L I K E 👍👍👍👍 👍🤩 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🍀 🍀🍀🍀🍀

  14. Great to see Rusty in such good condition. There are so much new feathers. Love the little guy. You're doin' such a great job 👍❤️❤️❤️
