The World’s Strangest And Heaviest Parrot

Most parrots are colourful and fly in noisy flocks, but New Zealand’s kakapo breaks all the rules. It’s been called the strangest and heaviest parrot in the world. With only 252 kakapo left, a team of researchers is attempting to preserve this dying lineage in a race against the clock.

The kakapo is a very rare, plump parrot that lives in New Zealand. It’s inability to fly and that it’s nocturnal make it the strangest parrot in the world.
