My cockatielā€™s name is. Michael. He seems healthy at 6 months old but his stools are quite oftenā€¦also go from what I deem normal sometimes runny. Iā€™m sure itā€™s probably diet .i feed ROUDYBUSH Bush seed mix, rice cooked, sometimes pasta cooked , he doesnā€™t care for most veggies and fruitsā€¦ he is pretty fussy but Iā€™m sure there must be a reason. Iā€™m a new cockatiel owner and tis guy is love of my life. I lost my 17 yr. Old JRT in Feb. this year and my niece suggested this bird, and I love him to bits but want to do what is right for him . The messy stools and diet are my main concern. BTW he is named Michael after Michael Ballā€¦Iā€™m a big fan as you may have guessed. Please help .

Um so I found the apple cider vinegar with the mother one laying around in the kitchen stuff so what do I do with it now?

    • @candicet5973

    • @-.Twinkies.-

Found it šŸ˜‚ great video. Thanks so much x

I have bird shelves. I keep cayane pepper (i hope that's how you spell it!) First aid kit, cheap seed mix that I'm going to replace with your mix idea, large parrot snax like dried banana which my lot love, millet, EMERGENCY coping files (if i need them fast, i don't want to drive an hour and a half with a potentially unstable bird), transport cage, back up perches (if one breaks), oyster shell cage stuff, 4 cuttle bones, emergency crop tubes(my bird shelves are also for Raptors!) Gloves, hoods, all that good stuff, a hooman first aid kit, because i can't tell you how many times I've been called out to a rescue and my arm has been shredded, i was clawed by a buzzard a few months ago! And so many more things!

I don't have a cupboard…. All the bird stuff lay on the floor because I'm like my birds, a messy person šŸ˜‚

    • @ghostymeow

I didnā€™t know you could soak & serve buckwheat in 15 minutes! Good to know

    • @anthonygamez2206

Something about seeing containers full is oddly satisfying. question šŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø how do you know if the tea is safe for the birds? I bought organic loose leaf chamomile flowers but not sure if it safe? šŸ¤Ø Awesome Video!!!

    • @iristhebluegoldmacaw7585

Thank you, I have never thought about using cupcake cases for foraging. Great idea

    • @archiesflock7517

I have a huge box full of different dried food in bags (quinoa, beans, lentils, seeds, nuts, herbs etc.) I make and mix my own seed mix for him with things like sesame, pumpkin, chia, caraway, and flax seeds, which he doesnā€™t eat much of anyway. I also use apple cider vinegar for sprouting seeds! At the moment I only have peppermint tea, but Iā€™m getting more soon!

    • @cherylkinkaid6801

We have bags of Roudybush pellets and China ridge seed, avian organics mash mixes, sprouting seed mix and chop topper, millet, pumpkin seeds, almond slivers and pecan pieces, spare toys and toy parts, pillow cases, carriers. Our emergency kit is with our kit.

    • @TheParrotTeacher
